.36 Small Caliber Bourbon

36 Texas Bourbon is a is our award-winning Texas bourbon, handcrafted in small batches, aged in small 5-10 gallon casks and matured under the Texas sun. Each batch follows our grain-to-glass philosophy. Texas corn is milled, sour-mashed, fermented, double-distilled, and aged at our San Antonio distillery. With 70% corn and Rye as the flavor grain it is a bold bourbon with a sweet, smooth body and spicy finish. Our casks has a medium-to-high char level and light toast to best age in the warm Texas climate, which with 120 degree summer rackhouse days create a unique Texas "terroir"

Appearance: Medium to Deep Amber.

Nose: Vanilla and brown sugar with hints of new wood.

Taste: Mellow caramel, butterscotch, and light cinnamon.

Finish: Long, bold, lingering sweet notes with a hint of warmth.

.36 Cask Strength Bourbon

This is Texas Bourbon in all its grandeur. Directly out of the barrel. Uncut. Unfiltered. Our .36 Texas Cask Strength Bourbon is a rare release, using only a few barrels hand-selected by our head distiller. Handcrafted at our San Antonio distillery, aged and matured in the Texas heat, this whiskey is a unique and bold expression with Texas terroir. The finish is smooth. The flavor is bold. The craftsmanship is uncompromising.

Appearance: Deep Amber.

.44 Texas Rye

44 Rye is a 100% rye whiskey aged in our used bourbon barrels. The used barrels produce a more spirit-forward whiskey that allows the flavor of the grain to shine. The third release in our Small Caliber Series is an innovative take on the traditional American whiskey. Rye whiskey has a long history in the United States, which includes George Washington operating the largest distillery of its time. Rye has a distinct flavor that can be diverse and complex. It is often described as spicy or fruity and can manifest as cinnamon, nutmeg, mint, clove or tobacco. The whiskey opens up with two drops of water to amplify the diverse rye flavors.

Appearance: Rich gold

Nose: Cinnamon, mint and toffee

Taste: Strong and compact with notes of clove and tobacco

Finish: Soft, balanced and dry with hints of light smoke, cider, and roasted chocolate

.44 Straight Rye

Ranger Creek .44 Texas Rye Whiskey is made from 100% malted rye and matured in our used .36 Texas Straight Bourbon barrels. The process highlights the complexity of the rye grain, resulting in a spirit-forward whiskey. It pours a rich gold with a nose of cinnamon, mint and toffee. At 94 proof, the taste is strong but mellow with notes of clove and spice. The taste ultimately gives way to a clean, warming finish with lingering notes of fresh bread. True and authentic to our brand, .44 Texas Rye is a premium whiskey made from grain to glass in our hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks. It also works great in a classic Old Fashioned or Manhattan cocktail.

Rimfire

Texas Rimfire is our single malt scotch-style whiskey, aged in our own used bourbon barrels. Smoked with Texas Mesquite instead of peat, it is a lightly smoked, well-balanced sipping whiskey. Each batch uses approximately 500 pounds of malted barley that is hand-smoked in-house, using our unique cold-smoking technique. The smoked grain becomes part of the mash, creating a delicate well-balanced spirit, familiar to single malt whiskey drinkers, yet completely unique to Texas. A few drops of water help to enhance the smoke and highlight the mesquite flavor.

Appearance: Light Amber

Nose: Sweet tropical notes of ripe mango and dried banana with a hint of vanilla

Taste: Smooth and delicate with a light malty sweetness

Finish: Clean, warming finish with lingering notes of fresh bread crust

Rimfire Finished in Maple Barrels

DISTILLERY ONLY RELEASE: Our Rimfire went into Maple casks for a few months giving it a more intense profile with a bit more sweetness. Tasting notes of honey, tropical fruit, chocolate, and maple syrup.

302 Single Malt Finished in Cabernet Barrels

San Antonio was founded on May 1, 1718. Three-hundred years later in celebration of the the rich history and culture of our city, Ranger Creek crafted this unique whiskey series, named the 300 series. “302” is the next launch in the beloved series.

Mashed and distilled from the recipe of the Rimfire mesquite smoked single malt whisky, this double-distilled spirit was aged in used bourbon casks and later finished in barrels that originally held red cabernet sauvignon wine. The result is a well-rounded single malt whiskey with hints of dark berries, vanilla, mellow smoke, and wildflower honey.
